2007 UFC Middleweight Top 5 Rankings

 1. Anderson Silva

The recently crowned middleweight champion remains unbeaten in the UFC adding a win over Lutter and two title defense knockouts over Franklin and Nate Marquardt. Who can stop this man?

2. Rich Franklin

Franklin came back with a vengeance picking up wins over MacDonald and Okami to earn himself a rematch against the champion. But it was not meant to be as he would lose in similar fashion as before.

3. Yushin Okami

Okami increased his winning streak with his win over Mike Swick, which setup a title eliminator fight in against the man ranked above him in which he lost, but a win over MacDonald keeps him afloat as a perennial contender.

4. Travis Lutter

Winning the ultimate comeback show last year over Cote earned him a title shot against Silva this year, but when he failed to make weight it was turned into a non title fight. While he may have won the first round of their fight you can’t help but wonder what would’ve happened if he was in shape.

5. Patrick Cote

Cote picks up wins over Kendall Grove and Scott Smith to increase his winning streak to three while regaining the form he had before his first stint in the UFC.
