1. Daniel Cormier

 Cormier became the champ champ this year, knocking out the most dominant heavyweight champion Miocic and defended successfully against the unlikely contender and power puncher Lewis.

2. Stipe Miocic 


Miocic stopped the most dangerous challenger, Ngannou in his tracks but gets knocked out in a super fight against the light heavyweight champion Cormier. 

3. Derrick Lewis  

Lewis continued his winning streak going 3-0 to earn a title shot against Cormier, but the champion's wrestling was too much for him to overcome, losing by submission. 


4. Francis Ngannou 


Ngannou opened the year off with a title shot but Miocic weathered the storm and exposed his cardio, he would then lose to Lewis in a staring contest but closes out the year knocking out new ranked contender Blaydes.

5. Curtis Blaydes 

Blaydes picks up his first ranked wins over Mark Hunt and Alistair Overeem to be placed at number five but gets stopped by former title challenger Ngannou.
