2000 UFC Light Heavyweight Top 4 Rankings

Post: UFC 29 - Defense of the Belts

1. Tito Ortiz

With Shamrock gone, Ortiz beat future Pride light heavyweight champion Wanderlei Silva to win the vacant title and overcame adversity from Yuki Kondo to successfully defend the title.

2. Sanae Kikuta

Very deserving of the number two spot is the Pancrase veteran; who was on a five fight winning streak before submitting Eugene Jackson in his only UFC fight.

3. Jeremy Horn

After winning his last three UFC fights including a submission win over future light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell, Horn adds to his winning streak with a win over Eugene Jackson solidifying the third spot.

4. Eugene Jackson

Heavy handed Jackson had an unfortunate 0-2 run against submission experts Horn and Kikuta, having a better year last year, he’s in the top four by default.
