1993 UFC Heavyweight Top 5 Rankings
Post UFC 1: The Beginning
1. Royce Gracie
There can only be one best in 1993. In the first and only event of the UFC that year, Gracie wiped out all three of his opponents, all by submission, in a combined five minutes to become the first tournament champion.
2. Gerard Gordeau
Gordaeu gets second place for making short work of both of his opponents with his strikes, each in under a minute before running into the submission attack of Gracie in the finals.
3. Ken Shamrock
Shamrock used his trademark heel hook to beat Patrick Smith but then gets submitted himself by the eventual winner, Royce Gracie.
4. Kevin Rosier
Rosier went to war with Zane Frazier, not having much left in the tank for Gordeau in the semi finals.
5. Jason DeLucia
In here by default is DeLucia, who took care of business in his alternate match by a quick submission but never participated in the tournament itself.
